To make up for missing a post last week, I'm doing double duty this week. This is a summary of an article I read about the film we went to see, The Clock.
This review by The Guardian is one of the earliest reviews of The Clock, from when it first came out in London, about 7 months ago. The author takes an interesting view on the film, noting that after sitting for awhile in it, you start to become less and less aware that the time passing in the film is time passing exactly in real life. He makes the interesting point that while the film is, in effect, an actual clock itself, the greater point is that for each clip, the action would be happening at the exact same moment that you are experiencing it in the audience, which transports the viewer even more into the clips themselves.
And yes, I caught the pun in the title too.
